In honor of Veterans Day - Born Again American

In honor of Veterans Day.  I know I'm late getting this out but it needs to be said.  I want to thank all of the men and women out there protecting our lives.  I have a nephew who was home for the weekend.  We celebrated Thanksgiving in our family on Sunday so that he could be part of it.  He heads back out to Iraq on Friday morning.  It's hard knowing that he is going back somewhere that isn't that safe.  You like to think of your family being safe.  I know why he does what he does.  I know that he believes that by his being there he is protecting his family back here.  But we miss him.  He is 26 years old and this is his second term.  Am I being stingy by wanting him safe?  Do I have the right to have these feelings?  He gives of himself so easily.  And then I sit and think.  I don't care if I am being stingy.. I love my nephew and am scared for him.

People have died for their country for the decisions that our government makes.  They have died to protect our rights and our lives.  Thank you to everyone that has or is serving our country to protect our freedom and our lives.  God bless You.

I have made a pledge to "I am a Born Again American."

The pledge is:

I Am
a born again American
I am my country's keeper
My President and my Congress report to me
And so
I will stay informed and involved
I will make my voice heard
And not just at election time
I can make a difference.
I matter
I am a Born Again American

Enjoy the song below.  Listen to the words.
