Well its my little brother, Troy's birthday. I'm happy for him but it reminds me how much I miss my family. My sister and brother both moved to Florida last year. I know its selfish that I feel like I do but I simply do.
So for his birthday, I decided to find a memory of Michael, my first husband. You see, Michael wanted Freebird to be played when he died at his funeral. I had to fight the entire family to have it done but Troy did it during the ceremony for me. I remember him rocking himself and I thought he was jamming. Until I saw the tears on his face. Thank you, Troy, I will always love you for that.
I found it on YouTube and it was first produced in 1973 by Lynyrd Skynyrd "Free Bird".
