Tips from my Husband

Ok my husband asked me to send out a friendly tip to all my readers.  Hopefully you have already done this but still its a great reminder.  Please make sure to disconnect your hoses outside.  Keeping them connected can cause the pipes to freeze up which will cost a lot of money to fix.

Another winter tip:  Be sure when the temperature is below 32 degrees (freezing) that you turn on your emergency heat.  It will help keep the pipes from freezing.  Yes it can be a little more expensive heat wise but it says your pipes which is a lot more important.

Off to the mall I go to meet my sister in laws.

That's a great tip about the hose. My husband had an outside pipe in his first house bust from this very thing. we make sure to remove the hoses now long before the cold weather hits.

Hi Tami, I'm visiting via Yonca's blog.
Thanks for the winterization tips. I'll be reading other "plumbing" tips from you and your husband too. :)
I'll be back to visit again.

I can attest to the truth of this, having fixed a pipe a few years ago. Now we don't forget to unhook the hoses.
