Mother Quotes

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty

This quote simply says to me what I already know.  It says that everything that I now do as a mother I think about how my child will react to it.  When I'm making a purchase I now typically think, do I need this?  Will my child have to go without something?  When I'm planning my day I typically think, what are the kids doing today?  Can I spare the time away from them?  When I'm talking to my mother, when have my kids seen her last?  Should we go visit?  When I'm going to the store, do I need to pick up any treats?  Is that healthy for them to eat?  And heaven forbid even when I'm in the bathroom, did I get this done or that?  Is the tub clean?  Did I pick up the toys?  Did I remember this or that?

I'm the same way Tami!

I don't think that I ever make a move or a sound that doesn't make its way back to my son eventually.

Kinda like the seven (thousand) degrees of motherhood (-:

I agree. Everything goes back to the kids...my mom always told me that, but you have to be a mother to really get that.

I agree. Even when on my tenth anniversary in Niagara Falls with hubby, I was thinking...this son wouldn't like this, this son would love that, my daughter would want one of these...

I hear ya! Being a mom changes everything. I haven't had a speeding ticket in years! LOL. That is truly owed to driving with kids in the car...or driving alone and knowing if I get killed..I just killed their mom. So, no more speed demon.

So so true! I'm still amazed at how different life is with kids -- it's a good different though!!

Blessings!
